Our Giving Mission
We build homes that do two things at once — they improve your life and they help someone else's. Every project we complete includes a charitable donation to a nonprofit you choose.
I built this company because I believed people deserved to be treated well.
I spent years working in construction, and I watched homeowners, employees, and subcontractors get overlooked. People would rush through decisions they’d live with for a decade. Teams felt undervalued. And giving back was something companies talked about but didn’t actually do in any meaningful way.
I started Building While Giving with a simple belief: a construction company could be profitable, honest, and genuinely good for the communities it serves. Not as a marketing strategy — as a business principle.
“I’m just myself, honestly. I want to do good work, treat people right, and make sure that every project we complete does something beyond just fixing a kitchen.” — Roberto Diaz, Founder
Your remodel, your cause, your impact
Every project includes a 3–5% charitable donation to a nonprofit of your choice. Your budget isn’t just improving your home — it’s funding something that matters to you
You choose your project
Contact us for a consultation. We discuss your goals, timeline, and budget. There's no pressure — we just listen and help you figure out what's possible.
You choose the nonprofit
Before we begin, you select a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that matters to you. Local, national, or global — you decide what gets supported through your project.
We complete your project
Same quality, same accountability, same care. Your charitable giving never changes what you pay or what you receive — it's built into how we do business.
We make the donation and share it with you
3–5% of our project earnings goes directly to your chosen nonprofit. We share the donation confirmation with you so you can see the tangible impact.

Questions about the giving program
Does Building While Giving's donation replace part of my project?
No. The giving program is entirely separate from your project budget. You receive the full scope of work you paid for. The donation comes from our business earnings — it’s how we choose to run our company, not a fee passed on to clients.
Does the donation affect what I pay?
No. Your project price is based entirely on the scope of work and materials. Our charitable donation comes from our earnings, not from your budget. Your cost is exactly what we quote.
How do I choose the nonprofit?
We ask you during the planning process. Any registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit qualifies. We can also suggest organizations in Colorado if you’d like ideas or if you’re still deciding.
How much is donated?
3–5% of our project earnings on your job. On a $50,000 kitchen remodel, that’s $1,500–$2,500. We’re transparent about exactly what gets donated.
Do I receive confirmation?
Yes. We send you the donation confirmation so you can see the impact your project created. You have proof that your remodel actually helped someone.
